Just a note of thanks, the Simple Pine Casket is precisely what I wanted. The lid tongue and groove is a little delicate and possibly could be mentioned in the assembly instructions. With two coats of Minwax polyurethane clear satin, its perfect for any one wanting a no frills Casket. Because I would not be the one for final assembly I epoxied four 5/16 round headed bolts, for easy instillation of said lid.

This Back to Basics design seems to be getting more and more popular. Constructed out of solid pine with rope handles this coffin uses no metal and is easy to assemble. Packaged in a box measuring 84" x 16" x 8" all you need is 30 minutes and a hammer and assembly is complete. |
